Hello all, and welcome. If we haven't already met, I'm a percussionist based in the New York City area. Percussion from every corner of the globe is my collective voice, whether playing in traditional folkloric settings or applying sounds and grooves of the world to R-n-B, jazz, folk, etc. I also compose, sing, and produce.

These pages will let you know more about what I'm doing and what I've done, how to reach me and what's on my mind.

With the ever-expanding popularity of myspace and facebook, updating this site had taken a back seat for a while. Sorry about that.

The latest watershed event for me is my full-time gig in the orchestra for the Broadway smash IN THE HEIGHTS. It's a salsa/merengue/hip-hip musical, and playing in this band is the most fun I've ever had with my pants on.

Since last year's trip to Guadeloupe was such an amazing experience, I'll be heading to the island of Trinidad soon to take in shango drummin 'g and some old-school soca and calypso grooves. I'll holler at you later about that.

UPDATES:
Well, it's a done deal. Toca will release my all-natural shakers at NAMM in January 2009! LP will develop my other difficult-to-describe invention in the coming months.
